New Mt. Olive Baptist Church has many ministries for you to choose from. Our ministries are designed to produces growth for the believer, and assist them in building a relationship with Jesus Christ. One of the key components of our ministries is that they connect you with other believers who will assist you in your walk with God. We encourage our members to connect, and be blessed as you become a blessing.

Deacon's Ministry

Act: 6:3

"Wherefore, brethen, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business."

Mission:

We, The Deacons of the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church mission is to: Glorify God by serving and assisting our Pastor in ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to our church family and to spread the gospel throughout the community.

Deaconess Ministry

Ephesians 4:1-3

“I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called. With all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering, forbearing one another in love; endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

Ephesians 4:12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ”."Use hospitality one to another without grudging."

Mission & Vision:

As chosen vessels by God, it is the mission of the Deaconess Ministry to enhance the spiritual matters of the church. To help foster peace, love and unity in the membership by witnessing with Christian character. Showing compassionate concern for all people, we must reach out to those who are hurting and serve as God’s angels of mercy. We should be Christ-like at all times in our mannerism, displaying mercy and kindness. We will consecrate and dedicate ourselves to spiritual kingdom building, and allow our love for Christ to show from the inside out, as we lead others to Him.

It is our hearts desire to help the church grow spiritually in the grace of God.

Heath Care Ministry

3 John 1:2

"Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth."

Mission & Vision:

The goal of the Health Care Ministry is to provide uplifting and positive support for the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being. We are committed to address the congregation’s health needs and concerns through education, prevention, and early detection. We hope and pray to reduce both occurrence and insight of health problems and the promotion of a healthy congregation.

We seek to follow God’s call on our lives, to minister to and comfort the sick, and to promote wellness of the body, mind, and spirit within the congregation

Hospitality

1 Peter 4:9

"Use hospitality one to another without grudging."

Mission & Vision:

To provide an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance to members and guest of The New Mount Olive Baptist Church by extending loving gestures of God’s love through its’ hospitality to all who enter our doors.

Purpose of the Hospitality Ministry is to offer the love of Christ to our guest and welcome then in such a way that they would be transformed from strangers into friends.

"Serve the Lord with gladness: Come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the Lord he is God: It is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture."

Mission:

We, the Male Chorus Ministry of the New Mt. Olive Baptist Church mission is to: Break the cycle of defeat with the victory through singing and praising our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Men Fellowship Ministry

Psalm 133:1

"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity."

Mission & Vision:

Our mission is to encourage the spiritual growth of all men in their quest to gain a more personal and closer walk with God.

Mass Choir

Matthew 26:30

"And when they had sung an hymn, they went out into the mount of Olives."

Ephesians 5:19

"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;"

Mission & Vision:

To sing unto the Lord with a beautiful voice as we minister with song to the congregation and to the world
To invoke the Holy Spirit with music and hymns of praise as we set the atmosphere for worship;
To accompany the pastor with a joyful noise of melody as she sends forth the preached biblical word.

To sing until the power of the Lord comes down!

Morgans Jrs. Choir Ministry

Mission:

Our Mission is to assemble youth, ages of 6 to 21, together,to learn to sing with the anointing of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. To learn and understand what the ministry is all about and to minister the Word of God, through the singing of psalms, hymns and spiritual songs to the congregation, community and to the world in the effort to save the lost, and to encourage the hearts of all people.

Ministerial Ministry

John 12:32

"And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me."

Mission & Vision:

To be lead by the Holy Spirit and preach and teach the word of God to edify the Body of Christ
To seek and lead lost souls to Jesus Christ through Evangelism
To be example setters both in the church and in our personal live
To be faithful stewards to both God and to our neighbors

To impact communities at large through teaching and preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

New Disciples Ministry

Mission and Vision:

We will embrace our members with Christian Love, always keeping God’s business first. We will pray for and with them, encourage and support them. We are committed to serving God, exercising our
faith in Him and to spiritually motivate our sisters and brothers so that they will participate in a ministry of the church thereby sharing their bountiful gifts and talents.

Each New Disciple will join at least one of the various church ministries, thereby further assimilating into the church body, and as part of the process of continually striving towards their spiritual growth.

Pastor's Aide Ministry

2 Timothy 2:24

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient."

Mission & Vision:

The Mission of the Pastor's Aide Ministry is to provide quality aide to our Pastor and to ensure that any and all of her requests, desires, needs, and wants are met in a timely fashion. The members of this ministry will maintain a persona that is acceptable to our Pastor, and our congregation, but most above all others, to our Lord, and Savior Jesus Christ.

The vision of this ministry is simply, to ensure that our congregation see our Pastor as: well maintained, cared for, and always ready when administering and/or preaching the Word of God. Our vision is also to assist the Pastor in every way posssible to ensure that her visions for our church become a reality.

Senior/Junior Usher Ministry

Psalms 84:10

"For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness."

Mission:

Our Mission is to make people feel welcome, wanted, valued and special. We are the first persons that people meet when they come to our church. We are the doorkeepers in the house of the Lord. We are God's door servants attending to the needs of the congregation with humility and Christlike Spirit.

Seniors of The Century

Proverbs 3:5-6

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Mission:

Our mission, as the Seniors of the Century Ministry, is to bring souls to Christ, impart wisdom, and demonstrate the love of God. With compassion and concern, we will help and support the sick and shut-in through phone calls, visits, and by taking them meals. We will reach out to others in our community, by visiting nursing homes. In addition, as believers in the power of prayer, we will continually lift up our Pastor, leaders and congregation before the Lord.

Young Adult Ministry

Isaiah 43:18-19

"Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."

Mission:

The Young Adult Ministry is comprised of members from the age of 21-45 years of age. The Young Adult Choir is a branch of the Young Adult Ministry.

Our mission is to praise and glorify God, as well as grow spiritually by gaining an understanding of God’s word and applying it to our lives.

Our ministry’s purpose is to help one another recognize and operate in our gifts and talents as we continue to do the work of the Lord; to motivate and support one another as we continue to maintain our walk of faith; to become positive influences by helping those in the community we serve; and to allow the spirit of the Lord to do a new thing in us as we embark on a journey to become a new generation of young adults praising and glorifying God in all that we do.

Youth Ministry

Roman 8:28

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."

Mission and Vision:

To Provide Christian Guidance & Leadership for our youth, through a variety of Christ centered activities shaping their lives spiritually, emotionally, physically and socially. Empowering them to be faithful, committed leaders for Christ, as well as young fisher’s of men.

To develop all youth, through teaching, coaching & being an example setter. Also teaching commitment to God and their ministry

Willing Workers Ministry

Matthew 9:38

"Pray ye therefore the Lord of the harvest, that he will send forth laboureres into His harvest."

Mission:

The Wiling Workers Ministry is just what the name says, "willing workers". A group of individuals that are on a mission to serve the Lord in the way he would have us to by using the gifts we have been given to help others in their time of bereavement.

Women Fellowship Ministry

Proverbs 31:30

"Favour is deceitful and beauty is vain: But a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.”

Mission & Vision:

To build a Women’s Ministry that is centered on worshipping God by developing a stronger prayer life, enhancing spiritual maturity, conquering the spirit of jealousy, bondage, heaviness and learning to love themselves as Christian women.

It is the desire that every woman know Christ personally, being committed to embracing the design of His glory and the furtherance of His Kingdom. We are committed to the authority and application of God's Word, striving for God's purposes for our lives, homes, families, church, and beyond. The Women’s Fellowship Ministry will provide fellowship, spiritual awareness, devotion, spiritual education, and retreats. Our goal is seek Him continually, serve Him faithfully, and share Him boldly
